The Waiting Room

White sterile walls contain

hopes and dreams

anxious excitement

anticipation

silent doubts

Ever feel like you are waiting for something that doesn’t exist?

Constantly looking for what might fill in the time

from what you have and what you are searching for

What if it’s all a dead end?

What if your number finally gets called

and behind the door of fate,

that door you’ve been staring at

for what seems like an eternity

glistening like it’s the answer

while imagining all the endless possibilities,

lies another empty waiting room.

*Prompt is : Waiting
